Inserted in the context of the so-called "Megalithic Necropolis of the Coureleiros", the "Anta dos Coureleiros V" is located next to a wall that divides a rural property of the parish of Santiago Maior.
Despite being quite damaged and uncharacterized, this megalithic monument erected between the 4th and 3rd millennium a. C. has a sepulchral chamber composed of seven granite steles, of which only three came to us whole and standing. Though bent and supported on some of the studs, the hat is still complete.
Of the corridor orientated to the Southeast are at the moment visible two of its primios estancias. However, the newly constructed wall passed through this prehistoric structure on the side of the entrance to the corridor, whereby the respective supports were artificially separated from the rest of the monument. no contexto da denominada "Necrópole Megalítica dos Coureleiros", a
"Anta dos Coureleiros V" situa-se junto a um muro que divide uma
propriedade rural da freguesia de Santiago Maior.
Apesar de se apresentar bastante danificado e descaracterizado, este monumento megalítico erguido entre os 4.º e 3.º milénios a. C. possui câmara sepulcral composta de sete esteios graníticos, dos quais apenas três chegaram até nós inteiros e de pé. Embora tombado e apoiado sobre alguns esteios, o chapéu ainda se encontra completo.
Do corredor orientado a Sudeste são actualmente visíveis dois dos seus primitivos esteios. Entretanto, o muro construído recentemente atravessou esta estrutura pré-histórica pelo lado da entrada do corredor, pelo que os respectivos esteios foram artificialmente separados do restante monumento.
