José is located on the street of the same name, within a population cluster, on the southern slope of the elevation where the village of Castelo de Vide stands.The church is made up of one volume. The interior space is distributed by the nave, chancel and sacristy.The nave is rectangular, the ceiling is in perfect back vault that pulls out of a cornice that runs along the walls. Against the south wall there is a stone pulpit.The main chapel is in apse and has at the center a niche with images of the Sagrada Família, flanked by columns. The roof is in a ¼-ball vault.The entrance door is rectangular and facing East, flanked by a barred window, is surmounted by a simple triangular gable with cornice. At the top there is an iron cross whose arms end in liz flower. From the lower angle of the left side of the gutter a small niche that would have had the image of St. Joseph, surmounted by a circular oculus. At the top of the facade, there is the Malta cross embossed.All the internal soil is pavement with bricks.

A igreja de S. José fica situada na rua do mesmo nome, dentro de aglomerado
populacional, na encosta Sul da elevação onde se ergue a vila de Castelo de
Vide.
A igreja é formada por um só volume. O espaço interno distribui-se pela
nave, capela-mor e sacristia.
A nave é rectangular, o tecto é em abóbada de volta perfeita que arranca de
uma cornija que corre ao longo das paredes. Encostado à parede Sul há um
púlpito de pedra.
A capela-mor é em abside e tem ao centro um nicho com as imagens da Sagrada
Família, ladeado por colunas. O tecto é em abóbada de ¼ de esfera.
A porta de entrada é rectangular e voltada a Este, ladeada por uma janela
gradeada, é encimada por uma empena triangular simples com cornija. No cimo há
uma cruz de ferro cujos braços terminam em flor de liz. Do ângulo inferior do
lado esquerdo da empena arranca um pequeno nicho que teria tido a imagem de S.
José, encimado por um óculo circular. No alto da fachada, há a cruz de Malta em
alto-relevo.
Todo o solo interno é pavimento com tijolos.
