Classified as a "National Monument" since 1910, the "Anta dos Pombais" is currently surrounded by dense vegetation.
Built during the Neo-Chalcolithic period, this megalithic monument (apparently without a corridor) has a funerary chamber of irregular polygonal plan, originally composed of seven large granite supports recently joined together by masonry walls, on which the shape covering slab rounded.
Unfortunately, the re-uses to which this monument has been subject over time, notably as collection of agricultural materials and shelter of shepherds, has disfigured this prehistoric funerary structure in a visible way. [AMartins]

Construído durante o Neo-Calcolítico, este monumento megalítico (aparentemente sem corredor) possui câmara funerária de planta poligonal irregular, originalmente composta de sete grandes esteios graníticos unidos recentemente entre si através de muros de cantaria, nos quais se apoia a laje de cobertura de forma arredondada.
Infelizmente, as reutilizações a que este monumento tem sido sujeito ao longo dos tempos, nomeadamente como arrecadação de materiais agrícolas e abrigo de pastores, descaracterizou esta estrutura funerária pré-histórica de modo visível. [AMartins]
